The Bert Nash Center was founded in 1950 in memory of Dr. Bert Nash, educator, psychologist, Lawrence community leader, and strong proponent of what we now term community based services for children and families. We’re pleased to honor Dr. Nash’s legacy by continuing to provide programs and services that are fundamental to the overall health of the Douglas County community.
Your contribution will help continue the legacy and allow us to provide affordable, comprehensive and quality mental health services to children, adults and families.

Annual Events

Each year, we hold a benefit for the Center; inviting local celebrities and their friends for a fun evening honoring their accomplishments and celebrating Bert Nash Center endeavors. Previous honorees are Tensie Oldfather, Ted Owens, Coach Fambrough, Max Falkenstein, Nancy Kassebaum Baker & Dean Smith, KU Track Legends, and Larry Brown.
