When Sarah Hoadley called Emily Farley to congratulate her on her new position, it planted a seed.
“I happened to see the notice about her promotion. When I called to congratulate her, she was curious if I was applying for the development director position,” Sarah said. “It put the idea in my head, and I got really excited. I began to learn more and seriously consider it.”
Emily was named the Bert Nash Center’s Chief Advancement Officer in February.
This week, Sarah started her new role as the Center’s Development Director. She joins the Community Engagement Team, which Emily oversees.
“I’m excited to be part of a talented team that has such a robust presence in the community, both in person and online,” Sarah said. “I really value that. The depth and breadth of Bert Nash’s community engagement initiatives echoes the way in which the organization’s programs and services touch the lives of so many families across the community and region.”
For the past four years, Sarah was development director at Douglas County CASA.
"Sarah comes to us with a wealth of fundraising experience, gained during her tenure at CASA," Emily said. "Her vibrant energy and passionate dedication to creating community connections shines, making her the perfect fit for the development director position. We're beyond fortunate to have her vibrant spirit and visionary drive join our team."
Sarah is grateful for her time with CASA and looking forward to this new opportunity to help grow the Bert Nash Center.
“I’m really proud of what we all accomplished at CASA over the past four years,” Sarah said. “It’s gratifying to connect with all different kinds of people, get to know them, learn about what they’re interested in accomplishing in our community, and help them achieve their philanthropic goals. This is an exciting time for the Bert Nash organization as well as its clients and community of supporters and there’s a lot to look forward to. I’m tremendously grateful for this opportunity.”
