About the event

Panelists

D.C. Hiegert (They/He)

D.C. is a Skadden Fellow at the ACLU of Kansas, where they work on enforcing and expanding the rights of LGBTQ+ people in Kansas. During law school, D.C. was a dedicated LGBTQ+ rights advocate, co-founding a gender marker and name change clinic for transgender Kansans, expanding gender-neutral restroom access on campus, and serving as president of the law school’s LGBTQ+ student organization.  

Dr. AJ Strickland (He/Him)

Dr. Strickland is the lead physician at EvolveMD. Dr. Strickland is a board-certified family medicine physician and addiction medicine specialist who is passionate about advancing socially just healthcare in our community.

AJ Rain (He/Him)

AJ Rain is a Bert Nash Center Outpatient Therapist and leads the Bert Nash Center's Gender Affirming Care Groups.

Jay Pryor (They/Them)

Jay has a unique life experience, having been viewed by the world as first a woman, then, a man, and now, a non-binary human. Jay has been sharing their story and educating on the queer experience for over 35 years. Today they combine their 35 years of queer history with today's facts and stats to create a DEI training that is unique, powerful, and impactful. Jay has a passion for helping business audiences create more welcoming cultures where employees thrive. As a keynote speaker and trainer across the United States, participants report rave reviews and lasting influence.
