Get Started at the BNC

To access services at the Bert Nash Center, simply drop by our main location or complete an online inquiry form and call to discuss next steps in your care. 

No appointments necessary.

Are you in crisis?

For mental health and substance use crisis, visit the Treatment & Recovery Center.


You can call the Douglas County Crisis line at 785-841-2345 or 988 to speak to a crisis counselor.

You will not have to wait for an appointment.

Get Started In Person

Come to our main location during designated hours and complete all of your registration paperwork. We will schedule your intake appointment as soon as possible*.

BNC Main Location:

200 Maine Street, Lawrence KS

Monday - Thursday: 8 am - 4 pm

Friday: 9 am - 4 pm

 

*We will do all we can to accommodate you when you drop-in, however, if all drop-in appointments fill up, we will schedule your next visit.

**note: Due to an increase demand in mental healthcare, you may experience wait times for services after your admissions process.

Your First Appointment

What to expect when you arrive for your first appointment. Be sure to bring your Insurance Card with you if you have health insurance coverage. 

1. Arrive

Arrive at 200 Maine Street, Suite A.  You will go to the first-floor reception of the Bert Nash Center. 

If your insurance is provided through a family member, please have their Social Security number and date of birth available. We may not be able to access your insurance without this information.
