About the Bert Nash Center

 

The Bert Nash Center is the designated community mental health center (CMHC) and the certified community behavioral health clinic (CCBHC) for Douglas County, KS.

Mission

The mission of the BNC is to advance the health of the Douglas County community through comprehensive behavioral health services responsive to evolving needs and changing environments.

Services

The Bert Nash Center (BNC) provides innovative, research-based services that address diverse behavioral health needs of children, families, and adults. BNC offers education, consultation and outreach services promoting wellness, addressing health disparities, and early identification of behavioral health concerns warranting professional help. The team at the Bert Nash Center includes highly trained professionals dedicated to providing person-and family-centered planning that includes, prevention, community inclusion and support.

In addition to individual and group therapy services,

the BNC provides:

 

  • individual therapy

  • group therapy

  • family therapy

  • school-based services,

  • psychiatric medication services,

  • case management,

  • homeless outreach,

  • transitional housing,

  • urgent care/crisis services,

  • forensics and serving those justice-involved

  • assertive community treatment

  • several evidence-based practices including: Peer Support, IDDT (Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment), IPS supported employment (Individual Placement and Support), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
