This month, we honor the essential connection between mental health and lived experience. Race, ethnicity, culture, and environment all influence how people understand, access, and receive care. We continue to reaffirm our commitment to advancing equity by centering the voices, stories, and needs of Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, and other communities of color—communities that continue to face systemic barriers in mental health care. The theme for Minority Mental Health Awareness Month 2025 is "Turn Awareness Into Action," encouraging individuals and organizations to actively work towards improving mental health outcomes for these communities.
