A whole person

The experience I have had at Bert Nash has changed my life. I just graduated from the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy program with the skills that I need to live a life worth living! It is so exciting to see how much my life has changed because of this program. I came to Bert Nash in a time of crisis, when not only I was concerned about my well-being, but so were others. I reluctantly started DBT, skeptical that I could benefit from a skills group in addition to individual therapy. I thought that I would never enjoy group and that it was not even worth a shot. I started attending group and much to my surprise, I really got into it!

I created a network of friends who were also going through some of the challenges that I was, which was important because sometimes you feel alone when you are in crisis. This group was more than just a “support group”, it was a group of people learning to make the best of their lives. We laughed (A LOT) and if you cried, there was always someone there to validate you and help you feel better. I was such a mess when I came to Bert Nash and now I leave as a whole person, ready to take the world by storm. Thank you for everything that you have given me and the encouragement that I have received.
