COVID19 Mental Health Response Team

Dear Colleagues,

In partnership with local agencies and community based Mental Health Clinicians, Bert Nash formed a COVID19 Mental Health Response Team in April 2020 to support healthcare workers who were on the frontlines of the COVID-19 response effort.

As our # DGKS community moves forward with hope for a better future, we are reaching out again with efforts to make a difference for Douglas County healthcare providers who, among others, are at the frontline helping meet the needs of our community members during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to healthcare workers, we also understand the growing impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on other professions and frontline workers such as Educators and other Mental Health Clinicians who work alongside them. Part of our discussion will include how we can collectively support these groups as they too face challenges during this time.

We are seeking Mental Health Clinicians and others trained in Mental Health First Aid, and/or Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) to join a coordinated effort to provide mental health support to some targeted groups working in the frontlines of the COVID19 pandemic. This response will be primarily virtual.
