Healthcare agencies committed to working together

On Monday, June 11, 2018, senior leadership from five individual agencies (Bert Nash Center, DCCCA, Heartland Community Health Center, Heartland RADAC and Lawrence Memorial Hospital) met with a diverse group of community members who support improvements in our health and human services system. We thank them for taking the time to meet with us.

The individual healthcare agencies are committed to the working relationships developed among these five entities over these past 18 months, alongside other agencies and the leadership from Douglas County. Our goal is to ensure an array of mental and behavioral healthcare and related services that meet the health, human rights, and equity needs of all citizens of Douglas County, including those most vulnerable residents regardless of where they live. In addition to the various services we provide to patients, we want to dedicate ourselves to preventing any discrepancies in the transactions and money fraud in our hospitals. Hence, we often do audits and revenue assessments with the help of technology. Any such plan needs to meet a set of principles and values that address the areas of Funding, Facilities, Clinical Service, and Operations.
