Meet our WRAP therapists – Liz Sharp

With the start of school approaching, we want to recognize our individual WRAP therapists. WRAP (Working to Recognize Alternative Possibilities) is a Bert Nash Center in-school therapy program, in partnership with Douglas County schools. The groundbreaking program began in 1997 and continues to thrive today. WRAP assigns a master’s-level clinician to a school to work collaboratively with the school’s mental health professionals to help with the behavioral, emotional, and psychological problems students can have. We are proud of our WRAP therapists and wish them and all Douglas County students and their families, as well as teachers, staff, and administrators a successful school year.

"According to research, about two-thirds of our nation's youth don't feel like they have supportive adult in their school. Children can go to school every day not feeling like there is an adult who cares about them or is there for them. I strive to be the supportive, constant, and caring adult who continues to show up for my students to help navigate the hard-to-have feelings in order to be safe and successful in school."
