Dear Friends,
As we look back on this year, we can acknowledge it has been a year of adversity. Yet, resiliency has been the pillar for us to stand on. Because of the pandemic, we face a mental health crisis unlike any we have seen before, where anxiety and depression are affecting our community at higher rates while the resources of those needing help have diminished or disappeared entirely.
As the economic impact of Covid-19 stretches into the future, we are seeing an increase in the number of people who are experiencing homelessness, and we need to support our neighbors to find and maintain the stable housing they need, which serves as a basic platform for their recovery. We must be able to provide intensive services for children so they can remain with their family safely, building strong caregiving skills, as well as skills for the child that lead to success at school and in social settings. We must ensure quality mental health treatment remains available for our community members through new delivery systems to include virtual and physically distanced services.
For 70 years the Bert Nash Center has been here for you, your loved ones, and our entire community. I ask you to join the Bert Nash Center in ensuring we are here for our community as we continue to respond to the mental health needs through this global pandemic. Your investment in the Bert Nash Center and our community will have a ripple effect on the lives of thousands of people. We are here because of you.
A gift of $50, $100, $250 or even $500 will help ensure the Bert Nash Center can continue to serve as a safety-net provider and provide essential health care services, such as
• partnerships with schools like the WRAP program and therapeutic classroom
• intensive out-patient services
• short-term therapy for depression and anxiety
• homeless outreach and support specialists
• certified Mental Health First Aid training
Your year-end gift will touch the lives of many, which is why we hope you will give generously. To make a tax-deductible gift text Here4U to 91999, or go to our secure website www.bertnash.org/donate. On behalf of our dedicated and caring staff, board of directors, and the people we are privileged to serve, thank you.
With gratitude,
Patrick Schmitz, Chief Executive Officer
